Oh boy, I don't know how it happened at rehearsal yesterday, but it did:
Our music director called out the next song to rehearse, and I started to play on the intro. Nothing at first, but not a cause for concern because of it's power saving feature.
But, it did not kick in after the 2nd or 3rd note, reached down with my hand and it felt weird. Pulled it out and looked at it, and thought crap.
Breaking the transmitter was the one thing I was worried about and delayed my decision to get one.
Fricking $100 to buy a replacement. At $249 for the G10S system, this wireless unit is going to get expensive fast. I've had it for about 2 months which is about 18 practices, and 22 performances.
If I continue on at this pace of breaking the transmitter, I would have spent $749 on the G10S for this year alone. Shoot, I could have gotten a UHF Shure unit.
Looking on the Internet last night, I noticed this is not an uncommon problem. There are posts, even on Line6's forum, about it breaking just the same way.
Maybe I'll figure out how to put in a belt clip case for the back of my bass strap. The transmitter still syncs with the receiver, and the green LED light comes on, but no sound. Probably the wire to the tip broke.
