have you ever tried looking for a bass in the 500-700 CAD range? when you are left handed!?

I want a 5 string but will settle for 4.

I'm more of an anti-traditionalist in bass playing. so i want something kind of out there.. but not too far.

My current interests: MIM Fender (very traditional i know) A Traben of any kind. Peavey Zodiac (dont know if they come lefty yet)

what do you suggest?

Schecter is a definite viable alternative for lefties in that price range.

A Carvin bolt-on will also get you there.

Yamaha BB series is also a great option, and they are in-stock.

You are in Hamilton! Maybe go work for F Bass and they will give you a discount on a lefty bass!

Hey fellow Canadian,

Go to [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] and get a lefty Spirit Steinberger 5. Meets your criteria of different, good and inexpensive.

When you have the bucks swap out the pups for actives and your smokin'.

carvin. pay shipping cost (x3) total of 60 bux and the bass will arive at your door paid and redy to go (they take care of all taxes import duties fees etc.) our dollar is kikarse now so there would be no better time to profit. plus no upcharge for lefty models.

I have a question. Do right handed guitars look as strange to left handed players as left handed guitars look to right handed players?

Actually, they don't, and never have (made most of their basses in left handed models). They only make two very cheap models for beginners only.

About AA63 suggestion: I agree. Those Spirit Steinbergers are a great deal. A bit heavy and the string spacing is tight (for me) but they really sound good, even without any upgrades as suggested.

For that price range I can't recommend the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] highly enough. (I don't know if it matters to you but apparently the lefty version is only available with maple or ebony fingerboards)

I totally came across these things by accident. I picked up a MIDI system off of ebay and couldn't bring myself to mar one of my existing basses. I looked around for basses in a reasonable price range that had enough space for the MIDI pickups controls and the Kingston fit the bill. When it arrived I was blown away by what a great bass it was for the price.
