My Moses neck twisted.

You don't want to pay for a Zon because you don't think they'll honor they're warrantee, you won't buy a new Modulus because they're too expensive, and you won't buy a Moses because you think TB had to force them to replace that neck? That makes no sense whatsoever. I'm betting that for every graphite neck out there that's warped, there's 100 warped wood necks. If I were you, I wouldn't waste any money at all on a bass, because you can't trust them.

a warped wood neck I can have it repaired by a good luthier, and about a graphite one , is not all luthiers that can work with it and if does is not cheap, a graphite is made to not warp at all if they do is a cia fault, a defective prod. So why I have to pay for it. I think that a cia have to stand by their product otherwise do not make it so expensive if they was cheaper no complain but that price I can a have a exceplet wood neck bass that will not warp in a lifetime from a cia that stand by their prod,and what is the big advantage froma graphite if not the stability that come first beside the sound of it. I have a US steinberger that is a dream to play, good neck, but terrible bridge that I have to spend more then the original bridge costs to have the jaws and saddles replaced, I never will buy a bass with steinberger bridge again, they lost a consumer here. I want a 35" fiver , but I don't want spend a lot of cash for a bad prod, and actually as you wrote I'll not spend a good money in a bass for a cia that I can't have trust on their prod or they service at least to say their warranty.

A good 35" scale that is not going to move is Modulus.

But its not like buying a Fender or MM, ect.

They cost more, Period...

For good reason, they are stable and have excellent customer service (never mind tone, and playability...)

I live in environment where the temperature and humidity changes extremely. Thats what first lead me to Graphite in the first place.

Something like a Q5 for you would be an investment that you can hand down to your kids and never have to worry about the neck.

To add to this.

Steve is small operation.

When you have the owner of the company answering the phone that should tell you something. On that note alone I say give him a break.

He is super nice guy and somewhat mad scientist like.
A missed phone call comes with that type of personality.

To add to this...Steve makes a great product and offers the most inexpensive graphite neck on the market. I have a couple, traveled with them and never had a problem.

Not coming down on anybody or anything.

It seems I've got a twist in my Moses as well. i just bought it used- the neck is from 2004 so it's a little older but still shouldn't be twisted :/

Anyone know of a shop/luthier in the philadelphia area that's well versed in graphite necks? I'm hoping a truss rod adjustment can solve the issue.

Yes I am very sure.

Their is a lot of relief, or a bow in the neck on the E string (especially up above the 12th fret) and the g string side is bowed from the nut to about the 5th fret. Viewed from the headstock to the bridge the whole twist is most apparent

My opinion of Moses has totally changed since this post.

I cannot recommend them anymore.

Long story made short.

I had 2 J basses in my car on a hot summer day.
1 Moses and 1 Modulus.

The Moses warped to the point that G string would not stay on, the Modulus was fine.

When Steve did replace the neck I never received the threaded inserts back with the replacement.

Has to be an issue with the composite mix having not been mixed right. Once those cure at the factory their stronger than steel and usually move less. Always wanted to do a MM body with a Moses neck.

What year did this happen? Not trying to question things, just want to see if this was a recent issue or not. Time and technology can change.

I believe summer of 2010.

Its funny because my dealing with Steve in the past have been great.

I know I should have not left the bass in the car, but I'm spoiled my Modulus and now Status. (You can do that with them and not worry).

Well I could not with Moses...Its a great litmus test since I had 2 bass in the same double gig bag. 1 Moses 1 Modulus. After not receiving the inserts and then I received a bent machine head on the replacement neck was the last straw. I will never do biz with him again and I hope his necks improve & business practices improve. (PS I'm ok with no answering the phone) its everything else.
