My new 12 string..... :)

I never had any problems adjusting to my first 12, very early in my playing career I got a cheap Hondo 8-string, which was quickly replaced by a Hagstrom 8-string from the 60s. So by the time I got a 12 it wasn't that much of a leap. I wish I still had that 40 year old 8-string.

I can't say I am not more than a little jealous of the finishes on some of these. Mine is just plain old black, and from Hamers website it looks like the only stock color option. I guess I'll just try to be happy with it... unless one of you guys wants to swap? ;)

Hey Lowrez and others, fellow 12ver convert here!
I have a Dean Rhapsody 12ver.

My favourite riff for 12ver is King's X We were born to be loved... Massive

I use it quite a bit in church to fill out things, particularly when we have no guitarist. My personal recommendation is to try the guitar amp/bass amp combination - I use a Peavey BAC-2 biamp bass chorus pedal as a crossover (don't need chorus on a 12ver, it has enough of its own) and send the lows through my Nemesis NC115 combo and the highs through a Boss OD3, vox wah and Ibanez AD99 analog delay (among other things) to my Mesa Subway blues 1x10" guitar combo. It's a pretty huge sound.

Enjoy!
Steve

P.S. This isn't the one from GC Hollywood is it? I played it and it was pretty sweet. And what did it set you back (if you don't mind me asking, and if you do please ignore!)?

I picked it up in a local shop in Portland Maine. Not the same one... I did try it through one of my guitar amps (fender vibro-champ) and it farted more than it was usable. I guess I could try another, I have a laney lc15r and a 2x12 marshall combo I got in a trade. I'll give that one a try it might handle the range better.
