My new 5 string-Manne XLR basic 5

Here we go...just traded my G&L L2000 Tribute for this italian handmande beauty ;)

Ash body,multilaminated maple neck with a 24 frets F-resin fretboard,jumbo frets,natural finish.

Is it missing the knobs or did you remove them? Nice bass.

No the original ones were rusty so I replaced them...unluckily I couldn't find any black knobs so I had to stick to the usual chrome ones (which don't look bad on it at all despite the black bridge and machine heads IMHO :) )

Manne makes fantastic basses. My Manne Trea 5 is what a Jazz bass should be in the third Millenium: Honky, funky, growly, yet able to achieve even upright thud (with the neck pickup solo-ed and the tone rolled off).

Cool!!!I've always wanted to try a Trea...it must really deliver with the 3 J pick ups...definitely an awesome bass!!!
 
Ya mine's around 11 libs as well...I have wide enough shoulders luckily :D

My Basic 5's tone is very warm and round,full of lows and mids and it definitely cuts through the mix easily...it even has a push/pull tone knob to split the bridge humbucker in order to achieve a more slappyish sound
