My New Bergantino HD112... Finally!

Well UPS finally dropped off my new cab! I rushed downstairs and plugged this cab in and let me tell you, I am SO impressed with this small box (insert eye wink here).
Really though, when I unpacked it and was fully aware at the dimensions, it still looked tiny! Jim B certainly did his homework on this!! Only thing I haven't tried was my sans amp through the effects return... My previous powered PA cab I was using had me put my sans amp in front as a pre.
My LH500 Head sounds great all by itself through the HD112. Talk about seamlessness with the 12" driver and tweeter!! It for sure sounds like it's going lower than my JBL powered 12" cab... completely different (but fantastic) voicing!
I thought I read something here regarding speaker/driver break in... Any info on that and how long that takes? Thanks again!!

Great cab... enjoy. The low end is pretty impressive and very 'useful'. Jim really does have an 'ear' to make a bass cab sound like a very good bass cab, but also have some of the properties of the custom cabs with the super neo drivers, etc.

No issue on break-in. Some drivers will just expand their low end response a smidge after a few hours of playing. Never a safety issue, and no special procedure is needed. Play it for a few hours, and you might hear just a touch of relaxing of the mids that basically is caused by the low end response widening a bit. With most cabs, very minor, and the vast majority of 'opening up' happens within about an hour of playing normally.

Thanks KJung! Yes, I actually did notice the cab "open up" a bit after playing for 45 min to an hour. Not a huge difference, but a slight widening of the low end... For the lack of a better term.
What's funny is, because this thing is SO small, I'm afraid to give it some real juice... I wouldn't want to "hurt" it! LOL! For my acoustic gigs, it should suffice just fine! THe LH500 head I have sounds great through it!
I can't wait to try my sans amp... Using the "drive" knob on the sans amp gives a warmer character with some sustain that I'm used to.... Should be interesting at the gig tonight!:hyper:

Ok, so more time spent just now on my Berg HD112... All I can say is WOW!!! If it sounded any bigger and better from such a small cab/footprint, I'd say Jim B defied the laws of physics!!! Cab seems to be really opening up now... A noticeable difference.
The cab has this wonderful way of being very even all the way up... BUT not sacrificing and deep bottom or smooth top. I find myself backing the tweeter off a bit, but my bass may be bright sounding with 18v EMG P's.
My God, I was just thinking about a SECOND HD112... That must be quite a "compact" rig!!
Nothing but smiles thus far... I'll post how I make out on this eve's gig!
