My new G&L, Stingray, Precision Hybrid

I'm enjoying this new creation of mine so much, I thought I'd share it with the group. What you're seeing here is a 1988 G&L L1000 ash body that was originally Clear Blue. I had a body finishing guy on the east coast finish it in black/red or "Blackberry". The neck is from a 1983 G&L SB-2.. 1 3/4" nut and super comfy. the pickup is a reverse P Lollar P Bass pickup. Pickguard is a handmade stingray guard that is slightly altered to fit this bass. Passive with just Vol/tone. The 3rd knob is for show. The G&L Body is basically the same shape as a Stingray so the Pickguard works nicely. This thing sounds AMAZING. Focused and aggressive, but warm at the same time. Weighs in at exactly 8 lbs.

Now that's a unique looking bass, yet looks like a common, everyday working bass, at the same time. Most in the audience would never know enough about basses to even notice the uniqueness of it. But some of us bass players would.
