How long ago did you email him? Usually he replies within a day, most of the time less.

Listening to the sound clips of this overdrive.... it sounds ALOT like the discontinued Budda Phat bass overdrive pedal.

sounds like this pedal has replaced at least a couple Bassdrives. I used to own a Fulltone Bassdrive, and now i was going to buy another one to try the Mosfet version, but I like this smaller pedal for its size and price. However, does this pedal hold the lows better than or at least equal to a Fulltone Bassdrive? And has anyone compared it to an OCD?

In my experience it holds the lows very well. It boosts some very low mids so it even sounds bassier than dry signal on certain bass/strings/amp configurations.
It does however add a lot of high mids and highs to your signal, which gives an impression of a slight low cut, especially on high gain settings. That's why some of us think this unit should have a tone knob.

interesting. i like high mids in overdrive, and i can just turn my tweeter down for highs if i like this pedal enough. if anything, i find most bass cabs are high-mid shy, and i'm always looking for a way to bring that frequency range back when i want my overdrive to come to the front of my tone.

It is right next to my bass drive on my pedal board. The Polish Love Pedal is alot for aggressive than the bass drive. It holds the lows pretty good, better than the bass drive IMO.
I don't think I'll replace my BassDrive, but this pedal does complement it quite well. It's a balls-to-the-wall sort of pedal, more aggressive than the Fulltone, heavier, and really has a nice solid bottom end to it.
