Yea it's a Roya. My favorite model too. Quilt maple, paduak fretboard and body. Love it!

Padauk is my favorite wood to work with, right after wenge. I'm using both on my current bass build.

The main reason I asked was because that is the oddest figuring I've ever seen in padauk (on the back of the body, that is). Quite beautiful.

Yea this has been my dream bass for a while now. It sounds unbelievable. If anyone is wondering, I picked this bass up at basses-electric-acoustic.com. Juan, the guy who runs the place, is a great guy, gave me a great deal on it, and is really cool to deal with. Highly recommended.
