My New Studio Build (perhaps overly detailed)

Roxul worked like a charm. Walking around in the structure sounds only like footfalls on a solid surface (ie higher pitch, no boom, no thump, nothing feels saggy or softer in spots). I'm very happy with the cost, time and effort savings of going with Roxul instead of sand.
Finish line? Ha!
Our boy @silky smoove is just approaching the starting line. This is where he switches gears from large muscle groups to brain power and fine motor skills.
Great ride so far!
Today will be less exciting. I think all they're going to do is install the roofing. It's still nice to see such progress without me having to expend tons of effort to achieve it 
I'm not to fine motor skills just yet. I still have to dig trenches for the French drains and the electrical conduit. Other large muscle group tasks include hanging sheetrock, and... Well... You see where I'm going with this, haha.

Shingles and felt have arrived. On a related note; Shingles and Felt is the name of a 70s soft rock band I'm starting.
Sounds like the inspector will be on-site today. If that passes I think everything is in the clear to move on to final construction elements. At one point DPD told us that we did not need to install a one hour firewall to mitigate for placement against the alley, but looking back they never issued that in writing. If he says we need one it will cause a delay since we'll have to go back to DPD to clarify, and having dealt with them previously (see earlier in this thread), I can tell you that soon things quickly is not their strong suit.

Having a record to prove that inspections were passed is a good thing.
Does your state allow you to do your own electrical work?

I have my inspection report from the first one and will keep the new one. What I don't have is written documentation from DPD giving us a variance to the alley setback code.
You're supposed to file for a permit. It's also something that people do under the radar constantly.
Passed the second inspection. One more to go once everything is buttoned up to deal with roof and site drainage, and we're all set.
