Well it looks good and you can't beat that price. It sounds like it plays well and you dig the tone so a great deal all around.
Nice basses.I just wish the front pickup was closer to the bridge pickup.Never knew they were active electronics.Learn something everyday.

I'm usually not a big fan of coffee table basses, but that top is really pretty. Enjoy! Hopefully the new USA DB bass will be as good as my Palaedium.
What do you think Jeff carries in that fanny pack. I wonder if he has a concealed weapons permit or something. Back to the bass, incredible looking. If it plays half as good as it looks, its a keeper.

The bass is awesome, I haven't stopped playing it since I got it. I intonated it, fine tuned the bridge, and the neck is almost dead straight. The action is low, just to the point of a slight buzz which is how I like it.
This one definitely is a keeper

Jeff gets a nice thin/throaty solo tone, but I've never heard him get fat and thick... Can this bass also do a nice warm thick heavy R+B roots-rock kinda thing?
If it can, I might have to get one...
I think I would get the model with 6 strings and a built-in metronome though.

With the blend fully on the neck PU and the bass maxed, it gets pretty damn thumpin, very old school R&B, motown-ish.
Keep in mind if you get one when you pull up on the master volume to put the bass in passive mode, the EQ is inactive.
