Just got this bass from Mr. Pickles today! It is a 2006 LTD warwick dirty blonde. Swamp ash body, poplar top, tigerflame ebony fingerboard with maple neck.
Not your normal warwick. Owned a 2002 thumb bo few years ago this is a completely different animal even though its a thumb bass too.
The P/TJ pick up setting is very versatile and the wood combination got me a bit confused when I took it out the box and plugged it in.
This bass does not have that 'sound of wood' sound that I am so familar to when I pick up a warwick. Not saying its bad but different. Reminds me somewhat of my old us made spector.
Soloing the p pick up gives me that thumpy mo-town sound and soloing the bridge pick up I can get that burpy jaco-esque sound.
I do miss my fender jazz deluxe I sold to buy this but I am slowly forgetting about it.
Bass came strung with some tapewound strings. First time using them so I cant wait til I try on different sets of strings to see what I like best.
Well here are the pictures!
oh one questino if anyone knows. What does the 6/252 mean? does 6 stand for 2006 or the 6th one?
