My pf500 keeps cutting out, why is this?

It spreads out my sound more makes me sound more punchy. My guitarist and drummer are both very loud. I need it

I don't believe anything is wrong with your amp. As stated above, the ohms are too low for the amp to operate normally. I'd suggest selling the HLF and 118 and getting an 810 or two 410he cabs. You'll get enough volume to handle your guitarist and drummer AND it will have plenty of punch.

Awesome! Just make sure they're both 8 ohm cabs. Which will give your amp a 4 ohm load.

Ya, the 410he's have a higher sensitivity rating because lows take up more wattage to amplify. A 410he will be a good bit louder with the same wattage than a 410hlf.

Much of that depends on EQ. I've found the HLF to be more satisfactory as a single use cab than the HE. My HLF was my go to outdoor single cab because it could get louder than either of my HE cabs would solo.

Pushing the mids - sure, pushing a 5string hard, not in my limited (compared to Jimmy!) experience.

I'd disagree highly with Carl. I've gigged with both cabs before and the HE's mid punch makes them louder than a HLF's big bottom, scooped mid sound. Mids are most of your volume as far as I'm concerned.

Edit: I also wouldn't use a 410he with the 118. Get another 410he and enjoy.

I assume that's because with the 410he you were probably wasting lows from the amp on trying to get a buttload of fundamental out of it.

Probably right. The tonal goals I have better suit the HLF than the HE cabs.
