A friend of mine insisted his original Ibanez (Maxon) AF-9 Auto Filter was worth only $10 to him. Who am I to argue? ;-)
My best deal on the 'Bay was a DOD FX72 for 12 bucks + 6 shipping.
But my all-time best deal was a Bass Whammy for 50 bucks from a friend of a friend. He thought it was broken, and it turned out that it just needed to be recalibrated. Took me 10 seconds to fix it.

I thought I made out on the one I won for $29 the other day... shipping was $10, so $39 isn't too bad... Only thing is that the pot is scratchy, so I'll either have to replace it (or hopefully just clean it).
Also, today I was searching at the right time for a BBE Opto Stomp... I placed a bid on one earlier for $68 and some change, but was outbid... Used the buy-it-now on another one, and picked it up for $49.99 and $10 shipping! It had only been listed for about a half hour. Thought that was a good score.

i got a dynacomp and a sovtek small stone (big green tank) from a crackhead for 30 bucks.
i have a demeter fuzzulator on layaway right now... i think i'll end up with it for about 70 bucks.
dd3 for 30 bucks, dd6 for 40 bucks, LR Baggs para acoustic DI for 30 bucks, MXR distortion + from 1981 for 30 bucks.
most recently: a roger mayer voodoo bass for 83 bucks and an analogman clone chorus w/ deep mod for 190 bucks. i don't know about you all, but i consider those "steals." (thanks, bongo and markjazz!!!

DOD FX70C Corrosion pedal for $21. They usually go for more, because they are loved (LOVED) by dudes who do pedal noise. It's probably the best high-gain distortion sound I've ever heard, and it has tons of low end. That said, it's on my pedal noise board and not my bass board. Blah.
All my "steals" have never been pedals, oddly enough - I've always paid the full new price, or a fair used price.
Examples of my actual gear "steals":
GK 2001RB head - Bought on TB for HALF the street price - I only paid $750, SHIPPED!
Presonus Firepod - $265.00 flat, for a used one in perfect condition with all software included. Normally $325 - $350 used, often missing stuff. New, the FP10 (the new version - new only in name) is $500.00.
Schecter Stiletto Elite-4 (Left-Handed) - I convinced a GC employee to special-order a brand-new one from the factory for me for only $475.00 flat.
Morley Power Wah (vintage chrome) - $30.00 + about $5.00 of parts to partially restore. I sold it for more to someone who wanted to finish the restoration work.

Ha! the seller even included a free 9V battery, so there is another $5 I saved!!!
I got it today (^_^) I like it, I can't wait to try it out with my distortions... but I have it all packed away as I am moving tomorrow (back to cincinnati)
