My Sadowsky

I got this bass last year ~May and I never got around to taking pictures of it or putting it up here on Talkbass

It's a four stringer with what I believe to be a maple burl top, and birdseye maple fingerboard. the pickups are not the single coil version, although i may swap them out soon for single coils.

i didn't have the bass custom built - i was going to have a custom bass made, but when i went into the shop to test out different pickups, i saw this bass hanging on the rack, waiting for the glue to dry on the fingerboard. after playing a similar setup, and after looking at the bass' aesthetics, i knew that if I custom built a bass, this one would be it. two weeks later, i had it in my possession and have been playing it constantly (along with my Skjold) ever since.

i hope to get around to posting some videos on youtube with this bass...so far my only videos are with my skjold bass

I think the bass is under 7 lbs but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm quite sure that is the bass I've been drooling over for most of the past year. I remember it was sold the moment it was posted, and so I never had a shot at it. I've shown the picture on the Sadowsky site to my wife at least a dozen times.

Is this it?

Should you ever want to sell that gem, I'd love to know about it. It's basically exactly what I'd order.

BTW - have you ever thought about having someone at Sadowsky cut you a clear pickguard? That would look KILLER!

I have not thought about a clear pickguard, but that would look killer!

maybe when i bring in the bass to get single coils i'll get a clear pickguard as well. that would look so good, thanks man :bassist:
