well it looks like i will be receiving 300$ for a second bass and that is all the money i will have to get it. i do not want a fretless for my first bass was a fretless as well i want a great tone and versatility. I would not prefer any jazz bass since mine is jazz as well. Please help me

Squier CV or VM P or J. I know you said no J basses but in that price range that's the best your going to get.
