Didn't want to start the thread until I was just about completed. So here is the chronology:
This is how she started, I bought this Geddy style SX from a fellow TBer and was tempted just to leave it since it looked so nice, but my mind was set on trying shell pink out.
I forgot to take a picture of the body completed sanded down, so here is the body after the first coat of primer.
Priming done
Body finish completed, taped for shielding paint:
New pickups, bridge and pots: Fender USA pickups, Schaller roller bridge, CTS 250k pots and an Orange Drop cap.
Pickguard on:
New neck, painted headstock, the whole she-bang! (until my string tree shows up)
You'll notice the neck isn't in the neck the way it usually would be. I lined everything up (bridge/pickup poles) and that's how it worked out, so I have a little gap on the E side of the neck, I think I'm just going to cut a wedge and fill it.
I might also refinish this again this summer, I don't think I can pull off shell pink. Maybe sherwood green or seafoam?
