My Stambaugh Upgrade Completed

Drove up to Chris's shop last week and had him install the Fodera / Mike Pope preamp and my new David King knobs. The bass now sounds just awesome, just like a single cut Fodera and it should because it now has the same Aero pickups and pre. What do you guys think of the knobs...?

Good question actually - I want it to sound like it should, it had a Bart pre in it which in my opinion was a mistake. The knobs are just way too cool and make the bass just stand out that much more. But the bottom line is that I picked this up in an effort to get more comfortable with 6 strings in preparation for the arrival of my F-Bass 6 in a few months. It was always my intent to sell this once the F arrives but I wanted to make it the Fodera killer that it is now first.

I have been looking for something like this for my 4 string Stambaugh, its got a zebra top with gold knobs, I always thought they should be some kind of wood instead of gold or black.

What kind of wood are those knobs ?

BTW, my Stambaugh 5 is for sale in the classifieds if anyones interested in a killer 5 string
