My SVT Rig is complete!

Just picked up my Heritage SVT 810 cab yesterday from Guitar Center. Only took 4 days for them to ship it from their warehouse.

Combined with my 73 Blackline and Fender Precision with Flatwounds - best sounding rig I ever played through! My 70's band never sounded so good!

Oh I'm sure we could guess :p
Plan on selling that SBX of yours?!

I actually have (2) GK SBX410 cabs that I pair with my 700rbII and sansamp RPM. Im keeping that rig for now because its more portable than the SVT rig. I also have a Mesa PH410 and a Mesa PH610 that may be for sale. But I may keep the PH610 because its a 4ohm cab and I could use the SVT head with that one for smaller gigs. I have way too much gear, I know. Kind of an obsession ....or sickness :)

BTW, I'm thinking seriously about going to the Heritage 810... Do you, by chance, have any/enough experience with a Classic Series 810 to have an opinion on how their sound compares?

Sorry, i havent played the classic 810. I went with the Heritage because its not as popular, made in the USA, and looks better with the black sparkle grill cloth. Ampeg only makes so many a year so resale value remains high. I can say though, it sounds incredible and isnt as hard to move as I though it would be. Its built like a tank - very well constructed.

I think it's safe to assume you're doing the right thing. Who on this forum WOULDN'T want you to have more gear :D

But I understand keeping the SBX's, they pair great with GK heads (hence me asking about yours for sale) and are more portable.
