I like the idea of an aux. send and return built into the board (like Scotch has) for running outboard pedals if you want/need to, coming from a looper or LS-2 or BDd or VTd ect...Putting one on my next board for sure.

Yes, that Scotch is full of good ideas!

Some of my boards' features:

patch bay (in/out and aux loop for off-board pedals)

lid-mounted bag for cable/supply storage

under-board power supply

Marinco brand ac inlet (haven't used it yet, but certainly will on next build!

Here's the design I worked up quite awhile ago. I have most of the parts, just haven't built the thing yet.



Here's a quick list of the features I've included:

• grid of holes in the deck for under-board cable routing
• angled surface for easier access to second row without needing a platform
• built-in effect loops (with LEDs) and and a tuner mute button on the front right surface of the board
• the jacks on the underside will be mounted to a piece of angle aluminum
• the loop switches will be mounted on a re-purposed metal plate I bought at Menards (aluminum push-plate intended for use on a door)
• convenience outlet on the tallest edge of the board for plugging in my amp or whatever else
• IEC power jack on the right edge
• locking 1/4" jacks on the right edge for board in and out
• handles on the edges
• the surface will be carpet for standard velcro mounting
• the rest of the board will be truck-bed liner paint for ease of finishing and a sweet look
