My unicorn bass, does it exist?

Been playing Warwicks forever and I love them but my Thumb's weight is starting to aggravate my shoulder. I know what I want but after a bit of hunting around I'm coming to the conclusion it just doesn't exist. A headless, wood grain finished 5 string steinberger with 17mm spacing. I could live with 17.5 mm if I had too. Assuming I'll never find one of those what are some other lightweight 5ers with narrow spacing? I play mainly funk, reggae, and Afrobeat. Help me!!

That's pretty much an exact description of a Hohner B2AV - no longer in production, but they come up used all the time on ebay, reverb, etc.

There's also its full-body style sibling, the Hohner Jack bass -

- or you could get a used Steinberger Spirit 5 string and strip the paint off of it. They're maple, usually see 'em used around $400.
