My V1 bass (homemade)

It took me way longer than it probably should have, but my V1 bass is finished and plays/sounds pretty damned good! 37"/34.75" scale length 12" radius neck made of flame maple and Indian rosewood, mandolin frets, spalted maple 2-piece body finished with Tru-Oil, Nordstrand Zen Blade pickups into an 18V Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp & stacked volume (top is neck, bottom is bridge), ABM bridge & head pieces.

Yes it is. In hindsight, I took a pretty big risk with doing this particular instrument as my very first build, and from scratch. It very easily could have went south and turned me off of building entirely lol!

Thank you! And the Iceman was a complete fluke. I was looking for one for a friend of mine, and two came up for sale locally at the same time. $200 CDN each, so we each grabbed one lol

there is zero dive at all, and it feels good when strapped. It's not bad sitting, but because of the scale length it can be a bit of a stretch lol

I have a little 30 in Epi V and F can be a reach sitting down with it jammed between your legs …
