Bass players used to be more open minded than guitar players when it came to new gear. That's starting to change though with this vintage fad going on.

Yes, this is the bass where I needed help with mixing the signals. You remember the thread on the Pickup makers forum. It makes me humble to read replies from pickup gurus like Rick Turner.
At the moment I'm about to test ceramic magnets with steel rods and keepers on this pickup configuration. I'm going to play and record the same bass with different pickups and same recording settings and listen what difference does the sound have.
