My vote for TALLEST Rhythm Section! (Tim Lefebvre content)

Was wasting my afternoon on YouTube and this came up. Pretty good stuff. Both Tim and Danny (yes, we are on a first name basis, in my dreams!) are well over 6 feet tall. I approve. I am about 6' 3" and my drummer is around 6' 2". All drummers and bass players should be really tall!
(Alternate title of this thread (including Scott Kinsey): "Does anyone play with more bands than these guys?")

I just thought the video was worth posting, especially for Tim Lefebvre's playing.
Makes me laugh when every once in a while someone posts about not being tall enough or not having long fingers. Tina Weymouth did just fine and she is like 5' 5". Victor Wooten, well under 6 feet, also pretty good. Anthony Jackson, one of the best ever, was not very tall but managed to navigate a 6-string with 19mm string spacing.

I was expecting Pino and Mick Fleetwood but what do I know?!? Being 6'4" is useful but not in the musical context, I can reach top shelves and back of the freezer section to snag items with a later expiration date. I guess it is easier to "fly" the mains onto their tripods.

Small world. No pun intended. I saw him play with ST maybe 10 years ago. Saw he linked up with Korn. That's a strong resume.

I knew Tim Lefebvre was shedding upright while making his living on electric, but when I finally saw him play upright, he has one of the most natural looking physical relationships to the instrument that I've seen. And he sounds great on it. Like he's been playing it forever.

Tim and Stanley look like they were born to play DB.

Conversely, Stanley looks like a mantis holding its prey when he plays a short scale EB.

I have no idea how tall Kim Gordon is, but when she straps on a T-Bird and stands on stage with her feet planted and knees locked, it looks like the sequel to The Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman. Massive presence.

Wayman Tisdale was tallest bass player that I have seen. Before becoming a pro bass player, he played in the NBA. He was easily 6’9”.

I have nothing against tall bassists or drummers (I'm pretty tall), and there is a certain advantage in having long fingers when playing bass, but...I play church gigs, and the bassist for one of the world's biggest touring church bands is.... a young lady who's 5'2". She plays a full scale bass, which looks....absolutely ginormous on her, but she pays the damn* thing VERY well.

Man, l feel ya.

I'm 6'2" , bro is 6'6". From the waist up, same height. He got 4 more inches of leg than l.

My coaches used to wonder why l could drop 20 lbs during football season and not get any faster.



I eventually pointed out , "Coach, I've got no legs!".
