So I'm sitting here, looking at Major Metal's Sadowsky Gallery thread, and I click a link to view a picture at sadowsky's website and BAM:

"Blocked By Websense
!! Alert !!

Access to this site has been blocked in accordance with:
TRW's General Policy Statement No.4 - "Electronic Communications"

If access to this site is in alignment with General Policy Statement No. 4 and is a requirement to pursue TRW business activities, you may request an exception to gain access by filling out the URL Exception Request Form."

What gives? It never had this problem before. I've visited that website a few times in the past, with not so much as a flinch from Websense before.

Any idea why its doing this? I though at first that it might be because im spending too much time on there, and they decided to block it, but the fact of the matter is, I've only been there 4-5 times, probably spent no more than an hour or two there total. And I spend several hours everyday perusing TalkBass, without any problems. (So far. *crosses fingers* I don't know what I would do without you guys.)

So is there someone else in my building here spending an inordinate time on Sadowskys website? Did Mr. Sadowsky quit the bass business and become an internet porn broker? What's the deal??

I guess thats because playing on of his basses is the most fun you can have standing up!! And his website causes uncontrollable GEAR LUST! I must confess I am a Sadowsky addict, are there any twelve step programs available for me?

I assist with the administration of the web filter where I work. We use 8E6 Technologies. We evaluate the logs every month to see what needs to be adjusted. It's almost embarassing to see what kind of websites people try to visit from their work PC's. Sometimes I want to go to that persons desk and ask them what the thunder they were thinking.

There are about a bajillion of them out there. And if you really can't find one you like you can always set one up on your home computer and ssh-tunnel to your home computer and proxy out of it.

This would give you the added benefit of making your traffic encrypted so even if your IT monkeys find it and get upset they won't be able to tell what you were looking at even with packet sniffs of the traffic.
