When built, I was told it would shine into a glass like shine with Tripoli powder. I don't own a buffing wheel and found it all confusing the couple times I researched it. Recently I jumped down the rabbit hole again and came up with a quick, easy, and cheap thing to try... Micro-Mesh pads from 1500 to 12000 grit. I hit the back of the neck and most of the top with alcohol to strip the years of Howard's Feed-N-Wax before spending a good hour or 2 working the little 2" pads.

No joke, the neck and top are like glass... or maybe more like polished stone.

I need to gather the nerve to disassemble it and give it a proper polishing :bassist:
