mystery cabinet!

hello!

my buddy's got this weird cabinet that i'm kinda curious about, if anyone's ever seen one or knows anything about them.
the plate on the back is scratched to hell but you can make out that it is a gallein-kruger, and it's 4 ohms.

it's the size and shape of an ampeg 8x10, but when you take the screen off the front, there are only 2 10" drivers that are centred in the middle of the thing. the rest of the space is occupied by plywood baffles.

was it built to be like this?? or modified for some reason?
i don't have pics but i might be able to get some.

any help would be appreciated!
thanks!

Does it look like this? This is old Traynor cab. This one has 1x18 and 2x8s.

This was for sale in LA on CL a few months ago. It sat for weeks and weeks. I called and almost bought it but I'm already overloaded so I let it pass. I have no idea whats inside but it might be set up just like the Traynor mentioned above.

yeah! that's exactly what this thing looks like. the 10"s are right dead centre like that. is it fair to assume there's an
18"er somewhere in the mix?

there aren't handles on the side, like that traynor had. i'm having a lot of trouble finding the model name of this thing on the net.

i guess most importantly, if you've played one, how does it sound?? (i haven't tried this one yet)

GK had a folded horn with an 18 and two 10's for more punch. The folded horn was a very deep sound but did not have much punch this was a design to get past that problem. You'll notice that there are not too many folded horns being built now.
