Details

Unknown-make 3/4 bass (no label). Was told it was German when I bought it, but who knows. It was my first upright and my only one for 5 or 6 years. Full disclosure - it's not an awesome bass, bordering on the term "bass shaped object." Is what it is. That said, it served me very well for literally hundreds of gigs, even some touring and studio time. It does just fine amplified. Time to let it go to someone looking to get into an upright bass on a budget.

Good stuff:
-Decent setup, easy to play
-Thick rosewood fingerboard, rosewood tailpiece.
-No repairs needed, solid as a rock.
-K&K bassmax pickup

Not so good:
-The finish. The bass was painted a hideous green when I bought it. I refinished it myself without much experience, it looks pretty bad and some of it flaked off. Sorry about that? But it's way better than the green paint (see the last photo)
-The tuners. They grind. But they work.
-It had a hole cut in one of the C-bouts because I wanted that access to fit a new sound post. It's glued back closed with hot hide glue. Endpin screw has been changed to regular thumb screw (has a phillips head in the photo).

Will hear trades on electric basses and lightweight amps/cabs.

Send any questions my way, thanks!

A friend was going to buy this so I pulled the ad, it ended up being an extended "borrowing" kinda thing, anyway I've got it back now, back for sale.
