Mystery Short Scale P-Bass

So I was browsing Facebook and I found this neat little bass in the background of someone's picture. It appears to be a short scale P bass of some type with an old-school pickup and two-saddle bridge. It's black headstock looks like a possible rattle-can job, but looks pretty cool.

Does anyone know what model this is? Is it actually a Fender like the case suggests?

Looks pretty crappy...I hate those bridges with one saddle for E/A and one for D/G

Makes intonation suck.

Headstock looks bloated :)

But interestingly enough...the pup looks like it might be an Emperader...(but just a guess)

I could also imagine the name Nova on the stock as well.

That bass looks pretty nasty. In the bad way.
