NAD 1970 Fender 400 ps!

You might find 3 2X10s easier to transport, especially on the occasions you did not need the full power; you could bring only as many cabs as you needed.
I was unable to find 3 affordable matching cabs that sounded great, I bought 2 and then tried the Carvin 10.2 NEO because it was cheap, sounded good, and was 4 Ohms. Worked out great, at the risk of angering the Cab Police. I tried every 4 Ohm cab I could afford over many years to find this solution. Sounds great, portable, modular. I have pics of some pretty insane rigs starring this head, 8X10s, 2X15s, Peavey 1820s, etc.

Awesome, I’ve decided to go with 3 4 ohm 2x10s I’m was hoping darkglass would make a 4 ohm 2x10 but I don’t think that will happen since I also have a microtubes 900 and would like the option of a 2 ohm modular 900 watt 4x10 I’ve read that people love those 10.2 cabs with the fender 400, I’ve had no luck finding any locally as of yet though
Haven't looked for cabinets in many years, I didn't realize how uncommon 4 Ohm 2X10 or 2X12 cabinets are. A quick Google later and it looks like there's not much current production. Maybe some Mesa Powerhouse still in stock but discontinued, Aguilar, Bag End, and Avatar are all I came up with. Avatar cost 1/2 as much as the others. I'm sure you could find some used, but then you will end up with a mismatched rig like mine. From my small sample I'd look at Avatar.

If you are confident in your DIY skills you could possibly convert a 610. According to this pic, Ampeg 610HLF has 3 2X10 chambers.
Not difficult to add jacks and rewire if the proper replacement speakers can be determined. Some of the knowledgeable people on here may be able to help with that.

It LOOKS like three chambers. But there are openings in the baffles/dividers that render it one big ported chamber.
I recently got one. I popped out one speaker to confirm. (Now that I think about it, I should have taken pics.
)So it would take some mod work to make it three chambers. Plus, that would throw off the physics of the cab because you would have drivers designed for one big open chamber now being in two sealed and one ported chamber.

I had some email conversations with Alex at Barefaced about using a Six10 cab with three inputs but I couldn't quite figure out the .5 line array bits.
Three BF Two10's would make a nice modular rig for the 400PS.

Assuming drivers with the right specs for the box could be found with the proper Ohm rating, would it be a problem if the chambers were not sealed? I don't know enough to state with certainty. Others have used a 400PS with 1 big open box multi-driver cab wired to 3 inputs, but I know that doesn't make it a good idea.
If the chambers need to be individually sealed then a custom cab like this one would be needed.
SUNN 610 into an SVT mini-fridge, pt 2
Mine has been 100% trouble free since buying it in the early 2000s. Absolutely no noise, you wouldn't know it was on when nothing's being played. I picked up a backup at one point but have never needed it. All I need is an arena, 3 8X10s, and 3 (or 6) full guitar stacks... always thought it would be awesome with a nice Strat, Tele, or pedal steel.
I do not know the answers to any of your questions. I have a special talent for bringing more questions than answers to any conversation.
I don't see the need to separate the chambers, each section of the cabinet is getting an identical signal and should be in sync. The signal comes from three different sets of output tubes, but each set is producing the same note(s). They just need to be paired electrically, I think. The speakers should all be pumping together in phase.
I love that it's suited for both guitar and bass, because every guitarist I meet always says that what they really want is a 400+ watt tube amp!
Is it safe to run just one or 2 cabs?

Yeah, In, I think about 1976, I got my 1st rig, thanks Dad, it was a Vase 100w Bassman copy with a 215 cab that was good for ...just...100w. But, it worked.
