NAD - Ampeg Micro VR

Just got mine in today and holy crap that thing is loud!!!
I was shock at how loud and clear it sounded it handled my drop tuned basses very well.
Not sure how close to a real vr it sounds but it does remind me a little of my SVT II non pro
and with a little gain crank it gets dirty.I'm very pleased with it

lol! yeah, and i thought about getting a cover for it, then i priced them. i'll just wrap a blanket around it.And now you're on the way to having a cab that looks like a "real" 8/10?
I just got one of these today, based of Jimmy's glowing recommendation and the Ampeg demo video on youtube. I love it. I needed something to fit in a small room for recording and practicing. I was all set to get the GK 115 until I read what Jimmy posted about his.
I got it from Zounds and they did me right. I originally paid for 2 day shipping but there was a week long delay due to bad weather. They gave me $100 off my order, refunded my shipping and sent it to me free via UPS 2day. Got it for $499 and with the $100 rebate, that will go down to $399!
It sounds just awsome with my P bass with flats on it, just what I was hoping for.

lol, well to be fair, your words got me halfway there, the sound of it in the youtube video by the Ampeg guy was the clincher.
That picture of the SVT Classic on top of both cabinets is awesome... It makes me wish that I still had my early '70's V4B 
I'm actively thinking about grabbing a second 210AV and an Ampeg head for a similar setup. Bass and extras on my back, a cabinet in each hand, then one trip back to the car for the head! haha

Anyone have any recommendations as to where to get the best price on these? Now that the rebate offer is gone? Everywhere sells them for the same price, I don't see any budging in price.
I usually wait until I get a 10% off coupon from somewhere and go shopping for stuff I really don't need...

I have lots of GK heads already, but if they would have honored $100 back if I purchased 2 more 210 cabs(same retail cost), I would have pulled the trigger in a heartbeat. That, and the cabs were back ordered most of the holiday season and the rebate required a number off of the shipping box and post marked by the end of the year.

That's what happened to me, it seemed they were backordered, and wouldn't have gotten to me in time for Ampeg to honor the rebate.
Mine is "Out for Delivery".
I gotta say that some videos and reviews around here helped me make my decision as well.
Same thing here. Didn't know if the rebate would stick with the backorder. So I found a used amp here and had a survey coupon so I bought a used cab from an online retailer. (Cab should be here today too.)

I've been looking at picking up the 2x10 cab off and on for a while now because I'll need a second amp & cab if I'm ever going to pickup that Moog Taurus III. 
Right now, I've got a Fender Champ hooked up to a 1x15 from an Ampeg R200R who's amp died. It sounds killer. Way better then the B200R head in the combo did. My gut tells me that Ampeg cabs are candy all over.
Has anyone tried pairing any low-watt guitar amps with the 210AV? I was thinking that a princeton + the 210AV might sound good. It's got a nice break-up on guitar, and I like overdrive on my bass.
Any thoughts on how the 210AV would pair up with a fender princeton as a head?

i think if you like the champ, you'd like the princeton. the micro av's cab would rock pretty hard with it imho, even on guitar. i haven't tried it with guitar yet but i'm sure it would sound great.
