Just got the 212av today, and have the v4b and about the same p bass. Perfect combination!
Beautiful rig man - enjoy. Yes, adding a second 212AV takes it up a notch and is required (at least for me) to play in a moderately loud rock setting. The V4B has the perfect amount of power for me in that context - just enough clean power and easy to lean into it just a bit to start the drive happening. I just like a lot of cabs behind me. I’d rather have a V4B through two 212AVs than an SVT through one.
That said, my Heritage 810 gets all the gigs - with either my V4B or SVT. It’s the best sounding cab I’ve ever heard and I find it easier to schlep than two 212s. I have one 212 in my house and the 810 in my garage until time to play out. My second 212AV is in storage.

I agree, the v4b is amazing sounding amp! I too prefer the 810 to gig with over my smaller cabs. I’ve actually never ended up with a sore back when using an 810 opposed to when using smaller cabs I can lift and carry.
I got rid of my SVT 212AV. My V4B sounds much better with a 410 HE. The 212 didn’t get the volume I needed and just sounded a little thin. A 410 or 810 sound much better to me.
Great rig. I just picked up a 212av for my 1974 V4b. Fantastic vintage-ish tone. For the small gigs I play, it’s plenty loud, especially since I’m always going FOH too. But I may get a second at some point, just b/c I can.
That’s interesting. I wouldn’t say the 212 av sounds thin at all, just sits real nice in the mix. But I know we all have different expectations/ needs. My other rig is either a WT550 or a Shuttlemax 12.0 into two Acme Low b2s. Previously I played a db750 into those cabs. I prefer the v4b into the 212av to all those options for the rock/pop I mostly play.
No, I don't think it sounds thin at all, and I don't think I made myself very clear in that post, so it wasn't your fault. I just meant I have a 410he already and don't have much interest in another cab that size.
Recently picked up a 2 12 AV. I've done a couple of gigs with it paired up with my PF 500. More than enough headroom with that set up. I had been using an 8 10 with the PF and I don't find the 2 12 lacking at all. Haven't tried the 2 12 with the SVT Classic head yet. Got an outdoor gig on Nov 17. Well , kinda outdoors. Huge tent thingy with blown heat in it. Maybe the SVT will get a tryout with the 2 12 then or maybe the 8 10. Hmmmmmmm , decisions decisions. Life was easier when I only had the one rig. Oh well , first world problems. I wonder what the poor people are eating tonight.
I have all three. The SVT / 8x10, the V4B / 2x12 and the PF50T single 15. I've used them all at one time or another, but I always go back to the V4B. I just love the tone, power and it doesn't break my back. Nice rig! Good luck with it.
