Well I have been through a lot of amps in the past year. Started out a bit hungry for something new/lightweight and got sucked into the Class D try and swap game. Decided to let go of the WT800 and ashdown, great amps, but I became attracted to the idea of a 5 lb amp. Went through the shuttle 9.2 rather quickly and enjoyed the Tecamp much more than the shuttle. Fell in love with the GK fusion preamp section in the 500 model.
Happy enough with this MB Fusion 800 that I'm giving it an official NAD post.
Yes it is safe to say that I really think I am all set with bass heads for a very long time! trying out different brands and models is fun but I am relieved to have settled on this killer head which will cover all of my bass applications.
Like others have stated about this very amp: headroom, headroom, headroom!
First gig out with it blew me away. I was used to the family of GK tube-tone having used the MB Fusion 500 for a couple of months but this felt like an entirely different beast rooting the sound of the band. I have never had such commanding headroom and low end coming out of my rig. This is helped by the Fearful 15/6+12/6 stack which finally got the juice it has been calling for. That settled a great deal of both bass head GAS and bass cab GAS right then and there. I have been playing the fearfuls for several years but I have never liked them as much as I do now, with the MB 800 driving them. My only wish is to rebuild a new 12/6 cabinet to replace the ratfur model currently in my collection. My favorite thing about the head is that all of my basses sound better through it! From my old fashioned P and Single Coil P to the more modern my lakland J (Nordy/Audere loaded) and Human base (2 X Delano MM) this amp is proving to be a versatile performer, sounding good in all of my configurations.

While it looks somewhat docile as a micro head on top of 2 cabs, I truly feel that I have a bass Rig of Doom behind me. I can only think of the destruction if I build a 15sub to really hold down the bottom end! probably completely unneccessary but I do have an extra 3015 LF lying around since my first 15/6 build. That would be better used in an enclosure than in its factory cardboard box!
I am interested in your opinions on the matter:
1. Complete true bass rig of doom by building Fearful 15sub to fill out the stack into 15sub, 15/6, MB 800 Fusion. More cabs, more versatility, requires more space. Just dying to hear a true low-passed sub cab holding down a bass rig!
2. Live with what I've got since I am happy with it! Keep the 3015LF as a spare. 15/6+12/6+MB 800 is nothing to sneeze at!
