Probably an old thread, but I recently bought an original 800b but the noise is definitely putting me off. Anyone tried to mod or fix it? It’s a nice enough amp otherwise. Playing it through my studio headphones, the noise it really quite bad.

Appears to be endemic in the design of the amp. Unless the manufacturer has a fix for this, I wouldn't expect some internet suggested solution to help (and may cause other more serious problems).
