Thanks so much for the advice. Assuming I'm only going to be using this one cab, how much power should I safely plan on feeding it at 8 ohms?

Personally,I tend to run my cabs half of their maximum rated power.

What headphones are they? That's not normal, but there's are a fair number of headphones that can fall out side of the range the amp is designed to work with. They are usually proprietary consumer audio types, not what we see in pro audio or music industry types.

Yeah, that's what I think! They're Cowin E7 phones. Switchable noise cancellation and Bluetooth, optional mini TRS plug connection. I have a nice set of AKG studio headphones somewhere else that I'm sure will work just fine. Thank you!

For everyone else -- I don't think I mentioned up above that the D-350 comes with an adapter for the mini-TRS to 1/4" plug - this was unexpected and welcome - I guess this just illustrates the thoughtfulness M-B put into their stuff.

Working up to my first class D head, this one is on the short list where package size, power, and reliability are factors. And, a fourth factor is just street cred, which matters whether we admit it or not . But, they aren't discounting much, and rarely for sale used, all a testimony to happy customers, and sad for us used repurposer types

I have never heard a bad thing (even an understandable "not loud enough") about this head, so yeah, definitely street cred is there.

~250 watts rms.

Are you sure the noise cancelling feature is turned off?

The AKG phones should work fine.

I'm thinking 150 or so watts driving an efficient cab would cover a lot of applications,…

That is what we had to work with back n da day…

65 watts into two efficient 15s , JBLs if you ordered them or found a used cab with them.

Yup! That was one really good sounding rig. One of my altime favs. I ended up in a band that need more hp ,pre FOh days), so it had to go.

I just got my D350 today!

I find it kind of cool it comes with a nice gigbag.

I've got it hooked up to my home practice rig, and so far so good. Hope to test it out with my GK Neo112-IV this weekend.
