Okay, so I just got a gently used WD800 on Reverb. First, it sounds incredible. It’s warm and very reactive to playing with that tube bloom feel. It’s very organic and interactive feeling…makes me want to play it. It brings a HUGE smile to my face!

Nice! Rock that thing!

I gigged mine for the first time last night. It took me about a set to get it dialed-in. I started out with too much gain at the input, and the damping too low. Once corrected it was downright blissful.

Not too far off one of the suggested settings, but it worked so well in our mix I didn't feel the need to stray too far.

I have the footswitch coming from Mesa, and when it arrives ill do more tweaking of the parametric EQ, so i can jump back and forth between what i had last night and some alternate EQ.

I’m really enjoying the vibe of this amp. However, I’m getting a fuzzy static thing that comes and goes, it’s much more pronounced with the gain up. My Genzler plugged into the same cab and bass and outlet doesn’t do this. Any ideas?

It's possible that you have a bad tube, but there are many other possibilities as well.

Does it do this with a signal into the aux input or effects return?
