NAD PF-50T Clearance Deal

Went to GC and saw this on clearance for $324.99. Asked salesman and he said they were selling off the stock (still 899 online) so I scooped it up. Better run to your nearest GC and check to see if they have any in stock at this price. Might be worth the trip.

Typical marketing move. The only thing Sprint had to do with the design of their first phones was to put a "Sprint" label on them.

I would think that they’d want it in place before the Christmas season. It’s comming up quickly.

I would think little point to buying Ampeg only to release Yamaha gear through Amped manufacturing and distribution. Expect to see the exact same Ampeg gear with a Yamaha Corporation label on the back for a while yet.

Yamaha has already said they don't expect to be making any major changes in the first year.

But 'll tell you...Dino is still hitting the road pretty hard and heavy doing Ampeg clinics. Of course, now he's doing them with a Yamaha bass in hand And the regular price on the PF-50T at GC's website still hasn't changed. Makes me wonder if we got it wrong about Yamaha blowing out remaining inventory. The way they're promoting it as heavy as ever, it sounds to me like they bought remaining inventory and any inventory LOUD had in the pipeline at the time of the sale. Not basing that off of anything I know from inside info...they don't tell me their business plan and I don't ask.

Salesman told me clearance price was only store stock, not online.

You could always try calling some GC's in surrounding areas and see if they have any in stock. If they do you could also inquire about shipping. I am not a fan of LOUD after some repeated issues I have had in the past and have sworn them off, but at this price it does make me want to go take a look at my local GC. Hmmm.

You may be correct. Man-O-Man did I find a sweet deal. Brand new SVT-CL and a 810E for $1500 I sold the same rig a few years back because of the weight, but I couldn’t pass it up at that price.

Stuffing all those loud low notes into an SVT does make it pretty heavy. A Cadillac is nice but a Chevy will still get you there in style.

It must be discounted by Ampeg to dealers on remaining stock they want to dump.
No reason for the dealer to dump current inventory.

They must have tons of inventory or, that Yamaha wants to get things settled quickly.
Clearly they are not going to redesign everything.
You would think if there is that much inventory, front face plates would be changed and rear company info would have those aluminum plates over the top; they can have that adhesive that is activated with acetone. Those take a chisel to remove.

Will Yamaha still be liable for warranty repair now matter what the name on the gear is?
