It must be discounted by Ampeg to dealers on remaining stock they want to dump.
No reason for the dealer to dump current inventory.

They must have tons of inventory or, that Yamaha wants to get things settled quickly.
Clearly they are not going to redesign everything.
You would think if there is that much inventory, front face plates would be changed and rear company info would have those aluminum plates over the top; they can have that adhesive that is activated with acetone. Those take a chisel to remove.

Will Yamaha still be liable for warranty repair now matter what the name on the gear is?

I haven't asked anyone there yet but I'm 99% sure they are honoring all existing warranty issues.

They would be nuts not to carry the warranties forward.
