NAD. TT/800

Used it in a band situation last Saturday. The jury is still out. I have to find my way around it a little bit better.
At this point, it does feel promising.

It helps to read the owner’s manual a few times, there’s a lot of helpful information in there.
Would many people recognize what the old computer tech support response acronym "RTFM" stood for back in the old days?

The Mesa manuals are pretty good, but was it PreSonus who had a recipe for chocolate chip cookies and in one of their manuals?

Maybe the next manual has a recipe for Cowboy Beans???

The production techs on the touring circuit I worked were all foodies and good cooks, we would exchange recipes all the time during downtime. Sometimes recipes would come as part of a production package too ❤️❤️❤️

I may have been mistaken, because Googles (unreliable AI response) now tells me it was a recipe for Chicken and Andouille Gumbo, but I swear it was cookies, so I'm sticking with that.

Edit to add, that the same Google AI thing says it was Mackie. Here is part of the result when I queried it for a recipe in a Mackie, Mixer manual and I think that is where I saw it.

Classic Mackie mixer manuals (such as the ones for the VLZ series) are famous for their quirky, conversational tone, and many of them featured a recipe for "Greg’s Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies."

I propose that Mesa accept submissions from us loyal Subway customers of recipes to be included in various manuals. :roflmao:

From my experience with owning and using this amp over the past 3 years, it is, indeed, AMAZING! For me, I love the clarity of the amp and the sheer POWER it can produce! Either way, like other's have said, you will definitely figure the amp out in time. I am still tinkering and figuring out the amp as well even after having it for a few years.

Subway TT800? Order it carry-out, get a free to-go bag! Mui Bueno !

Charro Beans, Si, frijoles charros, straight from the LRGV (that's Lower Rio Grande Valley, deep south Tejas for non-Texans and assorted gringos) and Arnie Tex, whose BBQ and TexMex cooking channel is just the best for me. If ONLY I could grow a 'stache like his !

Come on, Arnie, Miller Lite? Modelo or Dos Equis, please !!

I really like Arnie’s approach, he’s got some great videos.

I've been using the TT for awhile and like it pretty well. I run the Boogie channel similar to your settings but with Deep off and the bass boosted to compensate. I think that channel benefits from having the gain way up like you have it. The amp sounds substantially better when you get the Master up fairly loud IMO.

There are some things about the amp I'd change and some things I don't really gel with but it's solid.

Some years ago I read a book in the Pascal programming language - and it included the text of the Abbott and Costello skit, “Who’s on first”.

The TT-800 is a great amp! I’ve had one since COVID days. It took me a little while to figure out the settings and how the eq worked. The manual, which is so well-written, is your best friend in this regard. Deep articulate lows and lofty shimmering highs sit nicely with two guitars, keys and a sax (classic rock, country & Motown). I tend to use a pbass with the Boogie Channel and a jbass with the Subway Channel. I pair with one or two SW115s. The two channels provide a lot of tonal variety and sound terrific. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy to dial in a tone.
