So I was all set on getting a Mesa TT800 and even placed an order to bring one in, but a couple quick trades came along and long story short, I now have a Trickfish Bullhead 1K . Figured if I didn't like it I could always keep the Mesa order and trade it or something, but man, I love this amp!
I mean, I've had a TON of guitar gear, but I'm still pretty new to bass and I've only played a few amps... it's mostly been Helix and studio monitors, so I don't have a lot of comparison. Regardless, I'm just totally blown away by the difference. The sound, the feel, it's so beefy, warm, and versatile. I was actually getting a lot of ear fatigue from my monitors... they were fine for guitar, but for bass, they just can't replicate the amp in the room at all. I could play this thing for days. I am super stoked!
