A vote for the foo fighters. If their massively diverse genre of songs doesn't do it, dave Grohl just seems like a really awesome dude that surely everyone likes!

ah, yes. one of my favorite bands. a few years ago i saw a guy maybe 23 wearing a ramones tshirt. i said "great tshirt - awesome band!" he looked down and checked his tshirt, then told me he had never heard the ramones, but he liked the shirt when he saw it at target.
