They did not do many Warwick branded though. They build guitars under the Framus name now. Warwick Founder Hans-Peter Wilfer's father is Fred Wilfer (founder of Framus).

MTD has a guitar called the Rubicon. There is a Kingston version of it as well.
Spector made Arc and NS-6 guitars.

As far as I know, Wal only made basses, unless you count that triple neck that Chris Squire played.
Bassist is a very broad category.
Wind instrument makers produce oboes and bass oboes, saxes and bass saxes, clarinets and bass clarinets, trombones and bass trombones, as well as tubas.
Violin makers produce various violins, including bass violins.
Percussion companies make the various drums, including bass drums
Thus, guitar manufacturers generally produce guitars, including bass guitars.
