I have semi close friends that are called by things like Sky, Kale, Pixie, Raven, Spyder, Chainsaw, & a host of others who's birth certificate names I do not know 
& I've known some of them for almost a decade. If Terence Butler wants to be called Geezer Butler, that's the one I'm going to try to remember

I don't think Terence would have a problem with anyone calling him Terry.
In Thailand, almost everyone goes by nicknames, throughout their lives, not just as youth.
It sometimes creates legal problems, because if someone wrongs you, you need to know their legal name, which often no one does.

Hmm, most of those aren't bass players, and I'm still stumped on Reginald White, who might actually be a bass player.

I only recognized one, from his Jersey roots & his partner Glenn Anzalone.
Funny, Jerry is the least famous of the bunch. The other two you might say are polar opposites in terms of bass.
I met Glenn in Hollyweird back around 91 or 92, but by then he & Jerry were not on speaking terms.
I was a much bigger fan of the Misfits than I was of Rush, or the Pistols.

I didn't realize he's from Oz, and a lot of people don't know he was in Fear.
Jerry Only was the only one I knew.
Fun fact: I also once told someone I wanted their skull. They were alarmed.
I remember watching one of those newish comedy horror Living Dead films & all the zombies were screaming that they wanted your brains. I thought it should have had the Misfits on the soundtrack.
