"Tiny E" was great!

So what happened to all the motorcycles in Southern California? I lived there for five years in the 80's, 10 minutes from Disneyland, and there were bikes everywhere. It was a great way to get around 'cause you could split lanes at traffic lights. I had one myself. I saw only three bikes on the road while I was there for NAMM. I can't believe it was too cold. The temps were in the mid 60's.

yeah I don't remember seeing all that many bikes on the road either...

The night that we got to LA (wednesday before NAMM), we were coming back from Largo (Fiona Apple sat in David Warren's gig) and there was such a crazy accident on route 10. There was a totally destroyed police cruiser, another cruiser thrown off of the road and the car that they were chasing was obliterated. We were stuck in traffic for like an hour it was past 2am when we got back.

I think it's because it is too dangerous to drive a motorcycle in LA anymore (no bulletproof shielding :D )

perhaps it's just a sign of the times...the free-spirit bikers have moved away...they're now living in suburbs of Houston ;)

Or maybe CHiPs and Eric Estrada killed the mystique :D
