By any chance, would you know whether zon offers burled or spalted maple tops on 4/2's. The site states 'figured maple top', which doesnt necesarily mean quilted, right? I am not a fan of quilt usually.

Sure. Zon will do virtually any top they can get on any model. I think it might be an upgrade on the 4/2. The standard figured maple top is sort of a low grade figure. But you can get almost anything. In fact someone on here recently bought a 5/2 with a Bocate top.

MTD (Hassan Khan + GREAT looks at some of the basses, including the 8):

Man, Dave is a phenomenal player, and a super nice guy. I love that two-hand hammer-on thing he does up in 1st position - he liked to do that when cranked up through Phil's cabs! ;) :bassist: :bassist:

And how about the Phil Jones neo cabs? Man, they sounded great! I didn't know that he would have a whole line of neo cabs available (though I knew to expect the Flight Case), and I was very impressed.

Tom.

David Karns (Holy chops, Batman!)
Makes me wish I lived in St. Louis. I'd SO be his student!!!! Yeah, really really nice guy too, I bet he'd be a great teacher, and he's got a STRONG sense of real groove... not just a chop master. Diggin' it. Check his site. You WILL be impressed, and there's some cool shots of a killer PJ rig. :)
