Did Dominic show up to play last minute like he did 2 years ago? he played well into 5 pm and mesmerized everyone. I noticed all the basses are gone from the stands.. except I spy a pretty white one on the left. I wonder what lucky stiff owns THAT one?? :hiding:

Carey has that bass because I am bugging him to do some stuff to it, strictly silly aesthetic stuff. But man, I miss it! I have gigs that are begging for it.. like the white tigers and the doves.. the other basses just don't match!!
Seriously, i miss it badly. OT: George Furlanetto has been here last couple of days and I took him to see a smokin' band last night and tomorrow we go for dinner.. too cool!
Nordstrand and F Bass, two of the very best!
If only Pete Skjold still lived here!
Gotta love luthiers.

yeah, man! i saw that. I asked Carey if he would ever sell the Goose. The resounding NO is still reverbarating through the hall as we speak. That thing is tone city!

I was in the booth when the "aesthitics" were being discussed, is this going to happen? Personally I think the bass will KILL if "that" happens!

I'll be out there soon with my wife, maybe we can get together.

the Spruce Goose is a spruce fretless singlecut that Carey built a couple of years back. The thing is just sick, TONE for days.
If Carey had another Nordy ready to go, I would jump on it with the revenue from a bass i just sold. What's the boss got laying around , Stew? I still think we should corner him into building a Jazz 6 !

they were talking about what I am buggin him about? not sure what was said, but it's supposed to go down. Heck, it's no secret. I'm thinking Badass 5 bridge, matching trans white pup covers, dipping the neck in gloss, a spare clear guard, and getting Dave Meadows to do a pre with a passive tone. or if not, perhps a J retro form John East. Carey says I'm a pimp..
a Godly pimp..pimping low notes for the Lord. Did anyone see the lasered verse on the back of the headstock? I loved it. Reminds me of what it's all about.
Sorry to hijack, but I am supposed to start a new show t the Aladdin with Martin Nievera. You better hurry up and come before it's over! It' in the afternoon, so I am free to gig at night as well. Hope it works out!

can't give away all the trade secrets, man!

if you can convince Carey to build a Nordy with more than 5 strings (with my help or not), it will be quite a feat, my friend! you have any idea how long I've been after him to build something with more than 7 strings??
