Was watching the Clapton concert special on PBS a couple of night ago. Gotta say that Nathan East's tone on that show is un-freaking-believable. Every note has fullness, bottom, clarity, and punch without being
over punchy or overpowering anywhere in any song. Of all the musicians on stage, his tone may be the best.
Then there's his solid, in the pocket, riff like nobody else playing. I just love watching him play. And he always looks like he's loving what he's doing.
