Natural Ash basses are boring. Especially with a maple fretboard.
It's like eating unsalted soda crackers. Leaves you wishing there was some flavor to it.
I don't get the allure.

Not my cup of tea aesthetically, but so what? Everyone likes different looks/features.

I'm gonna agree with Richard.

In the 70s, My '72 natural Jazz was so boring (w/ white PG) that I would fall asleep while playing.
So I had it refin'd burnt orange/tort and instantly it started playing livelier, at least in my mind.

I would not pay new or used Fender prices for that bass,
but if it was a steal, boring would have a new home...057912
