Still in shock! Under the circumstance's of this series its amazing the Cav's did what they did. The best team won with the best player in the world! This town is crazy! GO CAV"S
I'd love to know what was said after that block. It was a seriously epic, get that junk outta here kinda block too. Loved it.
In all fairness, the NBA has always allowed somewhat more physical play in the playoffs, especially in the Finals. I think that's why Curry not only had trouble in the Finals this year (when he may have been slowed a little by injuries), but also underperformed in the Finals last year relative to his regular season numbers (at least in shooting percentage).
I think he's going to need to put on some muscle in the weight room. He should follow whatever regimen Kyrie Irving has--that's a strong smaller guy.

No mistaking that the Cavs won that they played better basketball, no excuses the Cavs deserved to win.
I did think Kerr's comment were appropriate. It seemed like the refs were being selective on what type of fouls they called. I saw Cavs players holding Warriors players by their shirts and/or arms and the refs were not calling those. That prevented the Warriors from playing their type of game. I didn't see as much of that in game seven so Kerr's $15,000 may have been well spent.
Still, champions overcome those type of things. If Curry hit some of those shots towards the end of the game things may have turned out differently or maybe not. That has nothing to do with the refs.
I saw enough ~missed or overlooked~ fouls on both sides to feel like the refs were about as fair as humanly possible.
After the 'Bad Boys' of the Detroit Pistons hammered Michael Jordan in the 1990 Eastern conference finals, Jordan hit the weights & bulked up a bit. In the 1991 Eastern conference finals, the Bulls swept the Pistons 4 - 0!
MJ credits the Bad Boys for making him the player that he was following those games.
Curry should check out a bit of History & learn from it!
As a Cavs fan, I have got to give props to Draymond Green, who played out of his mind in game 7. He showed class at the end by coming back on court after leaving, to congratulate each of the Cavs, despite what must have been an emotionally draining experience.
He had a tough time in the playoffs, some of which was of his own making, but after all is said and done, he is an admirable man and athlete.

I am not much of a basketball fan, but I really enjoyed watching the game last night. I probably would not have watched it if my son hadn't been in town for Father's Day and wanted to watch it.

I caught the second half of game 7. From a lead change stand point it was very exciting and there was some incredible play along with some not so incredible play. James deserves every bit of praise he receives. He came to win. Irving was great as well but come on, Lebron had 11 assists, the point guard had 1.

I know… but still yearn for a return to somewhat less physical play like what was in the '70s. It was still physical enough but not as dirty feeling, I guess. Maybe the physicality is why the game has grown in popularity?
On another note, I remember when NBA players would dress sharp. When the Blazers won the Western Conference Finals in the early '90s, I happened to be next door to where their plane landed so I watched them disembark. They were all in suits or at least dressed nice.

As long as the ball doesn't touch the backboard before you block it, it's not a goal tend. This was LeBron's signature go to move back in Miami.
Rule 11, entitled basket interference-goaltending, states "a player shall not" then list several things including what I quoted above. I mistyped it as "f". It's actually "e". Touching after it hits the backboard is a separate item also listed (c).
err... Those rules state the things you CANNOT do; i.e trap the ball on the backboard. What LeBron did was bat the ball against the backboard which DOES NOT count as trapping the ball against the backboard and is completely legal.
What he did is exactly what the rule says he can't do, trap the ball against backboard. His hand on the ball on the backboard at the same time. It was clearly visible at full speed and even more so in the link with the slo mo clip.
Yes, b/c LBJ's hand came in contact with the ball before the ball hit the backboard, continuing that motion with his hand against the ball as it was against the backboard, does not qualify as the 'e' case.
(E) says "after it has been released". Nothing to do with whether it's trapped before or after it hits the backboard. You both keep saying it but it's not part of the rule.
