As a Clevelander, I guess I'm supposed to root against LBJ out of principle. I didn't really blame him for leaving, I DID think it was a d-baggy way to do it. Personally, I think he left because of Mike Brown, but that's a whole 'nother story. (See Exhibit A: LA Lakers)

Anyway, my big issue with the Heat is Spoelstra. For some reason, that I cannot pinpoint, the dude just irks me.

Some of those assists last night to Garnett were just "magic."

...sitting here quietly thinking what the Lakers would be like with Rondo instead of Ramon Sessions (rotation player) and/or Steve Blake (D-league)...

I'm disappointed in the Heat, obviously. The biggest problems to me, besides the lack of Bosh, are poor coaching by Spo and the lack of D at key points. The end of Game 4, where the 3-point shooters aren't even in the game for Wade to pass to (and with James fouled out), was inexplicable. And the Heat just stopped defending well in the 4th quarter of Game 5. I give the Cs credit for making some bigtime shots, but Miami could have done better on that end of the floor. Finally, I wish they'd given Bosh more minutes in the second half--he was so efficient in the first, and he was well under his minutes limit.

Well, assuming the Celtics win, it's very hard for me to imagine them beating OKC. Same would go for the Heat.

yeah, yeah... that's what they said about the Heat...Celts got no chance.

well, assuming they beat the Heat (an assumption i am by no means willing to make)...we'll see. they have a real test in games 6 & (maybe) 7.

underdogs...sure they are, but that's why they play the games. OKC is both good and young, but you never know...:confused:

I fell asleep midway through the 4th so I missed that. Always good to hear about any team though.

Anyone want to make a wager that if the Heat loses they will NOT extend the same class and respect to Boston???

Yeah, that one was horrible. A page straight out of the D-FLop playbook. Refs should either be able to review stuff like that or the league should be able to levy fines for that crap.

Yeah, that was straight immature punk, and he paid for it.

Like I said earlier, he comes off like a tool much of the time, but then if you're old enough to remember, so did Bird and MJ. And in music, Miles and Bird. I much prefer great players who seem to be guys you'd want to hang with, but we do pay to watch them play basketball, and he's a fantastic point, one of the top 4 in the game along with Parker, Paul, and Rose.

Agreed. The Celts don't have anybody to defend Westbrook, and if you play Garnett at the 5, they don't have anybody to defend Durant, either. As far as the heat, LJ can defend Durant as well as anyone, but Westbrook is a bad matchup for Wade on the offensive end, and Sefolosha would do a decent job on him when the Heat have the ball. The rest of the matchups favor the Thunder, with Haslem/Ibaka being a fun wrestling match to watch.

Dunno, but I hope to find out. :)

On another note, Harden had two absolutely awful flops that he got calls on last night, and another where he got hit on the beard and acted like he got his in the eyes on a great drive to the basket. I hope Sportscenter or TNT institutes a "Flopwatch" feature while the league figures out what to do about this. It would at least be entertaining and discourage the practice.

Unfortunately, my love of Teh Beard is starting to wane. He flops a lot, and he tries to bait people into flagrant fouls calls a lot.

A guy with no jumpshot can't be the best PG in the league. He's up there but i'm taking Paul, Williams, and Parker over him.

I don't think he's trying to bait people into flagrants, he just likes to talk. Did you see him and Kobe go off in a Rucker park game? He talked there too.

That 44 point game showed me that Rajon Rondo is just an absolute amoeba. He can do whatever it is he needs to do to win, including hitting jumpers these days! No one can orchestrate an offense like Rondo, IMO. And that is a recent development for me.

That's not what I was talking about; ever since that incident with Ron Artest, I saw Harden pull the same thing at least twice more (pushing/bumping a player from behind, then acting like he didn't do anything). Then I saw him draw a foul call on Jackson by bear hugging him and throwing his head backward. I guess he figures it's a part of his game. But it's a tad dooshie IMO
